We will provide non-medical care, supervision and socialization to seniors and people with disabilities. Companionship services will include: answering the telephone, arranging appointments, assisting with pet care, caring for house plants, intellectual stimulation and conversation, picking out clothes, preparing grocery lists, receiving home deliveries, and taking nature walks. This service may also be used for extended periods, over eight hours, for supervision when other services are not available. It will be designed to fill the social gap created by growing older. Our senior home companions will monitor and protect a senior’s safety, care and wellness and handle everyday household tasks. They will also provide much-needed social interaction to prevent social isolation and depression. We will meet the senior’s social needs by providing supportive conversation, planning social outings, providing encouragement to do light exercise and staying mentally active by reading and playing board games. Our companion care will enable seniors to maintain their routines and continue to age in place.
